Access arrangements until February 21
Until February 21, 2026, to allow the setup work for the preparation of the veneration of the Saint’s mortal remains, the Basilica of St. Francis will be accessible in a limited form with the following arrangements:
- Lower Church: Open for free access without reservation, but only in the section leading to the Chapel of St. Catherine for attending Mass and the chapel area for confessions.
Guided tours will not be available. - Upper Church: Fully accessible for free access without reservation, from 9:00 AM to 5:45 PM.
Guided tours will not be available. Access will be through the upper entrance.
