Mandatory Reservation

Reservations are required for the veneration, to minimize wait times and to ensure adequate space for everyone:

  • Guaranteed Access: Entry to the Lower Basilica for veneration and to the Upper Basilica for Holy Mass is reserved for those who have booked through the website www.sanfrancescovive.org.
  • Group Management: We ask that you respect the time slot and the number of participants indicated on your ticket. To ensure everyone’s safety, it is not possible to split the group into different times or to admit more people than indicated in the booking.
  • Accessibility and Inclusion: We are committed to prioritizing access for people with disabilities. Please note that a reservation is also mandatory for companions. A dedicated transport service is available for wheelchair users (see details below).

The Importance of Punctuality

  • Plan Your Arrival: Arriving on time for your scheduled slot ensures your turn for entry. Unfortunately, in the event of a delay, immediate access cannot be guaranteed to avoid overlapping visitor flows.
  • Journeys Accompanied by the Friars: If you have chosen the accompanied path with a friar, please remember that this is a spiritual moment, not a guided tour. Punctuality is essential to fully experience the introduction and the concluding prayer.

Preserving Silence and Sacredness

To maintain an atmosphere of reflection, we ask you to observe these small but important steps:

  • Tours and Explanations: Guided tours and the use of radio guides or earpieces are not permitted inside the churches.
  • Cherish the Moment: We invite you to turn off or silence your mobile phone and refrain from taking photos or videos. This gesture of respect allows everyone to encounter the Saint without distractions.
  • Our Animal Friends: Due to the high volume of visitors and the specific access requirements for this event, the Basilica is unfortunately not suitable for pets (including those carried in arms). Certified service dogs accompanying people with disabilities are, of course, welcome.

Security

  • Luggage: For safety and space reasons, suitcases, trolleys, or bulky bags are not allowed. There is no luggage storage or cloakroom service available.
  • Checks: We thank you for your cooperation during security checks by law enforcement. You may bring water, a mobile phone, and small backpacks. Sharp objects or pocket knives are strictly prohibited.
  • Accessibility: Strollers, wheelchairs, and walking aids are, naturally, welcome.
